It is our desire to help you continuously grow and experience a close and personal relationship with Christ. Every service you attend, Pathway to Purpose (P2P) building course you take helps your faith grow. A relationship isn’t developed overnight, but we encourage you to take the steps in becoming the woman or man of God you are created to be.
The best way to do justice to all that’s happening at “Bread” is to pay us a visit! If you are not already a member or local to the Hampton Road area, we do hope you would consider joining us for a service.
Joining the ministry connects you and makes you feel like a part of the “Bread” family. Get connected and prepare to serve God.
Without our ministry workers, there would be no Bread of Life Ministry. They are the gears that keep us going and serving God every weekend. After completion of your Pathway 2 Purpose courses, we encourage you to get involved and use your gifts to glorify God!
One of our core values is Holistic improvement. We make available the necessary classes, group resources and qualified individuals to help each willing member achieve holistic improvement and grow in Christ. Learn more about the classes provided and get signed up for the next session!
Welcome to Bread of Life Ministry’s Pathway to Purpose Christian Development courses. As servants of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are dedicated to setting an atmosphere of learning where mutual benefit and respect for every student is our goal. To accomplish these goals, we have outlined a code of conduct for all students when participating in these classes. As kingdom men and women of integrity we expect everyone to adhere to these guidelines. As our commitment to you, if at any time you feel you have not been treated with the utmost respect, please let your teacher or a member of the Pathway to Purpose (P2P) Team know immediately. In addition, please communicate any concerns you might have with fulfilling these guidelines with any member of the Pathway to Purpose Team.
These discipleship lessons are designed to help you begin your new life in Jesus Christ. They will help you understand what your relationship to God is, how to communicate with Him, how to apply basic Bible principles to your life, and how your life can be an influential witness and testimony of God’s grace.
What We Believe About the Holy Spirit is the second course of P2P designed to increase knowledge and understanding of the works and dispensation of the Holy Spirit. We want to ensure that all members of The Word Church operate from a unified, yet evolving understanding of the functions and attributes of the Holy Spirit.
The purpose of this course is to help students understand the principles associated with biblical stewardship, foster individual commitment to grace giving (which we’ll cover later), and provide stewardship guidelines for daily living and spiritual development.
Bread of Life Ministry Adult Ministries are those ministry offerings that focus on equipping the body of Christ through the ministry of helps and volunteering. The pre-requisite for participation in any of our ministries is completion of the Pathway to Purpose classes. Get involved and serve in ministry.
